When should I use Alternate & Mix instead of standard merging?
Alternate & Mix is engineered specifically for duplex scanning where front and back pages were scanned in separate passes. It interleaves page 1 from Document A with page 1 from Document B in alternating order.
What if my back-page scan was captured in reverse order?
Enable the 'Reverse second document' option. This automatically matches sheet 1 Front with sheet 1 Back by reading the second document in reverse order so your multi-page scan flows correctly.
Where does Alternate & Mix process my files?
Files are interleaved directly at the PDF dictionary level inside an isolated server container, with temporary processing assets removed on our automated 30-minute cleanup cycle.
